  • 200g pasta
  • 2 teaspoons oil
  • 500g chicken breast pieces or turkey mince
  • 1 green pepper, sliced into strips
  • 1 onion, sliced into strips
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 1 (400g) tin chopped tomatoes
  • freshly chopped coriander to serve

  1. Cook pasta in salted, boiling water according to packet instructions.
  2. Heat oil in a large pan over medium heat; add chicken and stir to brown on all sides, about 5 to 8 minutes. Stir in peppers, onion and crushed garlic. Cook and stir for another 5 minutes until vegetables are softened. Stir in garam masala, ground coriander, turmeric and chopped tomatoes; stir to mix well and simmer until heated through.
  3. Drain the pasta; stir into the pan until well coated. Serve with freshly chopped coriander leaves.

Ingredients Required to make Butter Chicken Pasta -

4 cups Water
3 tbsp Salt
2 tbsp Oil
1 ½ cup Fusilli Pasta

3 tbsp Butter
2 tsp Cumin Seeds
1 ½ cup Onions, chopped
¼ cup Garlic Cloves
¼ cup Ginger, sliced
10-12 Cashews
2-3 Kashmiri Chillies
2 Tomatoes. quartered
Salt to taste
1 ½ tsp Coriander Powder
1 ½ tsp Chilli Powder
1 ½ tsp Garam Masala
1 cup Tomato Puree
1 cup Water

2 tbsp Butter
½ cup Mushrooms
½ cup Broccoli
¼ cup Corn
½ cup Boneless Chicken Cubes
Salt to taste
½ tsp Black Pepper, crushed
½ cup Cream
1 tbsp Kasuri Methi
3 tbsp Honey


Method to make Butter Chicken Pasta -

1. For the pasta, bring water & salt to a boil, add the pasta & cook till al dante it takes about 8-10 mins. Once done, drain it off & keep it aside.
2. Next, prepare the makhani sauce, heat butter in a saucepan, add the cumin seeds, onions, garlic, ginger, cashews & chillies, cook on medium heat till onions go translucent.
3. Next, add the tomatoes & season with salt keep cooking for another 5 mins till tomatoes go soft.
4. Now add the spice powder & cook for 2-3 mins, next add the tomato puree & water & cook for 5 mins.
5. Remove from heat & let it cool off.
6. Once cooled, blend to a smooth, chunky sauce as you would prefer.
7. Now to make the pasta, heat butter in a pan & saute the vegetables for 2 mins.
8. Next, add the chicken & season with salt & pepper. Once the chicken is cooked, add the prepared sauce, cream, kasuri methi & honey.
9. Cook for 2 mins & add the boiled pasta, toss well & once thick & creamy remove & serve
10. Garnish with coriander leaves & enjoy.

Growing up, Butter Chicken or Chicken Tikka Masala had always been big part of our Sunday family dinner. My mom makes world's best tasting Chicken Tikka Masala. And it's been always in-demand among our family and friends. After marriage, I always have tried to bring her cooking magic to every plate of food I cook and serve. But, to suit my busy lifestyle and needs. I have updated many of her classic traditional recipes. This 6 ingredients Tikka Masala is perfect example of that!

Overtime, this Tikka Masala sauce has become our family and friends favorite in most Indian-style Dinners! A evolution of classic, this recipe came into being on a very busy day and under a very short notice!!

I had few guests coming over and all they wanted to eat is Indian Curries. All food was ready when Vishal came to know. one of our guest is vegetarian. I just had some salad and rice as veggie options.

So quest was to make Indian Vegetarian Curry and time in hand was just 15 minutes.

Thing is, a good quality traditional marinara like Ragu Traditional Pasta Sauce, has lots of flavor of slow simmered Tikka Masala sauce. So I simmered Ragu Traditional Pasta Sauce with Indian garam masala, butter, and some seasonings!

Viola! A velvety, buttery, fragrant Tikka Masala Sauce was ready with that signature deep orange color and amazingly Restaurant Quality flavor. and I was ready to host a prefect dinner party!

My guests kept asking for recipe and I promised them to share on blog. Soon after I publish this post, I'm going to send'em this link. :) This sauce has become like my new modern family tradition. Everyone who tastes it wants to get the recipe.

Ingredients of Cajun Chicken Pasta

  • 3 chicken breasts
  • 1 1/2 red bell pepper
  • 4 tablespoon butter
  • 1 1/2 sprig green onion
  • 1/3 cup parmesan cheese
  • 300 gm pasta farfarle
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 capsicum (green pepper)
  • 6 mushroom
  • 1/6 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 litre water
  • 4 cherry tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon cajun pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon oregano
  • 3/4 teaspoon thyme
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 3/4 teaspoon spice basil
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper

How to make Cajun Chicken Pasta

Step 1

To prepare this yummy pasta recipe, put a deep-bottomed pan on medium flame and add water in it along with one tablespoon of butter. Stir once and bring it to a boil. Meanwhile, skin the chicken and chop it in slivers.

Step 2

In a plastic bag, add the chicken slivers along with all the spices - cumin powder, ground coriander, paprika, salt, crushed pepper, oregano, basil, thyme, white pepper, and cayenne pepper. These spices together form the Cajun mix. Shake the chicken well so that the chicken is nicely coated with the spices. Let the chicken marinate til the pasta is cooked.

Step 3

Coming back to the pan in which the water is boiling, add the farfalle pasta and cook until al dente. Once cooked, remove it from the flame and drain it carefully. After that, finely chop the spring onions, bell peppers, mushrooms and halve the cherry tomatoes.

Step 4

Then, put a frying pan on medium flame and melt butter in it. Now, add the marinated chicken in it and fry till it is tender or golden brown. Steadily, add the chopped bell peppers, green onions, and mushrooms in the pan.

Step 5

Once the vegetables and mushrooms have a glaze and are a little soft, which will take 3-4 minutes, reduce the flame to low. Add fresh cream, basil, salt, and pepper along with garlic powder and mix well. Next, add the halved cherry tomatoes and mix once again.

Step 6

Finally, add the boiled pasta in the pan and stir in the sauce along with the chicken. Mix the pasta well with the cooked chicken. Switch off the flame, and garnish the dish with grated Parmesan cheese and serve with garlic bread. Enjoy!

This is one of my favorite pasta. It is quite different from tomato based pasta recipe. This one is cream based, it has its own amazing flavour and creaminess. Totally yummy. I added chicken in this, but you can make it completely veg. Add any vegetables like mushroom, zuchinni, peppers, broccoli in this and make it veg alfredo..You can check out my pasta recipes here, I have quite a collection of it..I have a indian style pasta recipe coming on its way so keep looking for it.

Preparation Time : 5 mins
Cooking time : 30 mins
Serves : 2 to 3


Ingredients:

Pasta – 2 cups dried ( I used bowtie, you can use any shape)
Chicken Breast – 1 large
Salt to taste
Pepper powder to taste
Butter – 2 tblspn
Onion – 1 medium size chopped finely
Garlic – 5 cloves chopped finely
Water- 1 cup + extra for cooking pasta (You can use White Wine)
Heavy Cream – 1 cup
Parmesan Cheese – 1/2 cup or so ( I used amul cheese cube)
Coriander leaves / Cilantro – 3 tblspn finely chopped


Method:

Start by cooking pasta. Bring lots of water to a boil with salt. Add in pasta and cook as per package directions. When cooked drain and set aside.

Now heat butter in a pan in which you are going to make pasta.

Season chicken with salt and pepper on both sides.

Place the chicken over the heated butter. Cook for 5 to 7 mins on both sides till the chicken is completely cooked.

Remove them and cut into chunks.

Now in the residue on the pan, add more butter if needed. Add in onions and garlic. Cook them for couple of mins.

Add in water, you can use white wine. Mix it up and scrape all the residue. Bring this to a boil. Season with salt and pepper.

  • 1 jar (24 ounces) Prego® Creamy Vodka Sauce (see note below if you don't have this variety)
  • 1 tablespoon curry powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger

  • 2 1/2 cups baby-cut carrots (we used tri-colored) (about 12 ounces)
